The 2014 NFL draft starts in 3 days! The New England Patriots have the 29th pick in the first round. The Patriots’ main needs are a DT, TE, or maybe a WR.
The Patriots have had a good past in the draft. Their past picks have shown that they can be very talented players in the long run. Like Jerrod Mayo, Donta Hightower, Rob Gronkowski, and other players.
Hopefully the Patriots can draft some players that will help the team get to the super bowl.
Tom Brady is arguably the best quarterback in NFL history. He is one of the most clutch players in NFL history, and every season he finds a way to win.
Last season, Brady struggled because of the shortage of wide receivers, and losing both tight ends, Aaron Hernandez (In jail because of murder), and Rob Gronkowski (Only played 7 games due to injury).
During the end of the season, the receiving corps stepped up, and so did Brady’s stats, and the Patriots’ record. They ended up losing to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship 16-26.

The New England Patriot’s 2014 schedule has been released. The Patriots have some tough opponents this year. Some of the games that Patriots fans should be looking forward to are when they play the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs, and San Diego Chargers. New England has a Bye Week in week 10 of the NFL season this year. Hopefully the Patriots will have another great season.

Free Agent Signings: Darrelle Revis (CB), Brandon Browner (CB), Brandon LaFell (WR), Julian Edleman (WR), Patrick Chung (S), and Vince Wilfork (DT).
Darrelle Revis was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the New England Patriots signed him since CB Aquib Talib signed a 6 year deal with the Denver Broncos. Revis is arguably the best cornerback in the game. So this should help the Patriots’ secondary that has had some problems the past couple years. The Patriots also signed CB Brandon Browner who was with Seattle last year. He has been known to have some attitude issues, but if he can straighten out his attitude he should help the Patriots’ secondary a lot.
The Patriots signed former Carolina Panther WR Brandon LaFell. He should be another huge weapon for Tom Brady and the rest of the Patriots’ offense. They also resigned WR Julian Edleman, who was Brady’s favorite target to throw to last year. With him, LaFell, Ammendola, and the two young wide receivers, Dobson and Thompkins, the Patriots’ offense should definitely have a better passing game this year than they did last year.
The last free agent signing that I thought was the most important was the resigning of DT Vince Wilfork. The Patriots had one of the worst defenses against the run last year. Part of it because Wilfork was injured for the majority of the season. He should be a huge factor in stopping the run up the middle for New England’s defense this year.
